Oily skin, prone to acne
In adolescence oily skin can easily become acne-prone with blackheads and pimples. The biological cause of this development is an increase in the amount of sebum (hyperseborrhea), associated with a change in the quality of sebum (dysseborrhea).
Thickening of the skin, clogged pores, blocked sebum, multiplication of bacteria ... A whole vicious circle takes hold and the blackheads turn into pimples.
Environmental factors and nutrition also play a role in acne. Adult women can also be affected by acne.
